Charcoal has always been my favorite medium. I love how I can express soft whispering shapes to dramatic emotional lines. It's beautifully messy, limitless and forgiving.

One of the most profound things about using charcoal is that there is this primal element and sense of history as it's one of the oldest documented mediums found in cave paintings.
